Marshmallow Un-Toaster

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for taking toasted marshmallows and restoring them to their natural un-toasted state.

Role

You will work under the Senior Marshmallow Toaster from whom you'll receive the toasted marshmallows. You will reverse the toasting process by doing it backwards. This is an unpaid position, but you may eat as many marshmallows as you like as long as they've been un-toasted first.

Alexander Hamilton

Responsibilities

Serve as the founder of the US financial system, the federalist party, and the U.S. Coast Guard. You will also be the first Secretary of the Treasury.

Role

You will be expected to start as a senior aide to George Washington during the Revolutionary War, transition to the role of founding father, and end with a confrontation with Aaron Burr. You will be compensated with the ten-dollar bill and a musical.

Mars Colonist

Responsibilities

You will help establish a human presence on Mars.

Role

You will be responsible for helping full-time colonists with daily tasks. This will range from tending crops to helping perform experiments to making coffee runs back to Earth. This is an unpaid position, but you will be compensated as one of the founders of civilization on Mars, which may include numerous statues in your likeness and at least one major future city named after you.

Pupper Cuddler

Responsibilities

You will cuddle puppies.

Role

While on the clock, you will be expected to cuddle at least four puppies at all times. This is a great way to learn more about puppy society and the puppy cuddling industry. You will be compensated with one puppy of your choice at the end of the internship.

Office Plant

Responsibilities

You will sit in the corner and photosynthesize.

Role

You will be responsible for brightening up the office space and reducing the stress levels of your coworkers. You are required to smell nice at all times. You will be compensated by being watered daily.

Rogue Drone Wrangler

Responsibilities

Track down, catch and return rogue drones.

Role

Our new drone AI system has been developing sentience lately and it sometimes causes our drones to wander off. They are not able survive long on their own, so it will be your role to track down the lost drones and return them home safely. You will be provided a net and you will be paid per drone you return.

Wind Bottler

Responsibilities

You will bottle various types of wind for research.

Role

You will be provided a set of mason jars to capture, store, and label as many different types of wind as you can. This a brand new field of study, so you will have considerable freedom to develop your own strategies. In fact, no one has bottled wind before. So if you could figure out how to do it, that would be great.

International Person of Mystery

Responsibilities

Classified.

Role

As an international person of mystery, you will travel the world using your natural charm, wit and savvy to complete various clandestine objectives. We can't say much more until you start, but you will be very well compensated. We strongly recommend you take Kung Fu lessons.

Squirrel Christener

Responsibilities

You will name squirrels.

Role

You will go around town, talk to squirrels and provide them names. You will need to be familiar with squirrel naming conventions before you start. You may make tiny nametags for them if you wish, but it is not a requirement. You will be paid in acorns.

    Minutes from campus, this Vietnamese restaurant specializes in Asian Fusion and Vietnamese sandwiches (banh mi). You may come for the sandwiches, but you won't leave without trying their famous bubble tea. You had no idea drinking jelly fruit spheres through a giant straw would be so satisfying.

    With a comprehensive collection of more than 12,000 artworks in diverse media, this American art museum includes prominent holdings of 19th-century landscape and still life, American Impressionism, early Modernism, geometric abstraction, Abstract Expressionism, pop, minimalism, and contemporary art. And as a part of the "First Friday" art walk, you can get in free (on the first Friday of each month). So even if you're not the "artsy" type, come for the pretty colors. Because free.
